Can hugging from behind cause an asthma attack?

July 24th, 2010 by admin

Can an asthma attack be induced by the slightest pressure just above the breast in a woman from hugging them with one arm from behind?
This hug is being done without scaring her, by the way.

I don’t think so. If she has one coming on, it could exacerbate it. asthma attacks are either from allergies, or exercise, sometimes they just come on their own. The two components to an asthma attack, inflamation and mucus secretion aren’t caused by hugs.

Negative. Asthma is triggered by allergies or inflammation of the airways. Hugging is fine.
