What can help ease a minor asthma attack, without an inhaler?

I am 99% sure I have asthma. A few minutes ago I started getting sharp pains in my chest, and now my breathing has worsened. I have a doctors appointment tomorrow to get confirmation that it actually is asthma (if not something else)
But, as of right now I need something I can do for tonight that can help my breathing.
Over the counter Primatene Mist inhaler. They are around $20 but breathing would be worth it.
I know you said without an inhaler but I am thinking you meant a prescribed one.

go in the bathroom, close the door, and turn the shower onto full heatbut dont get in, just breathe the steam.

calm yourself. the more you worry the worse it will get.
lay down and dont run around to much!
or get a little fresh air if the house is stuffy but do not run around to much or it will worsen! i think you may be able to get an inhaler from a 24 hour pharmacy but I’M NOT TOTALLY SURE! sorry i hope this helped a little!

depending on where you live in the world if you have cool nights then at night it always helped me get through the night to go sit outside and just breath the cool air. also going for a ride in the car with the air conditioner on. Or make it cold around you turn a fan on you or cold shower but don’t get in just breath the cold. hope you make it through
