Natural Remedies for Asthma and Understanding How to Get Rid of Asthma

Natural Remedies for Asthma and Understanding How to Get Rid of Asthma

by Megan Richards

Natural remedies for Asthma that really work: Following and using natural remedies for Asthma such as described in this article can help you in your fight to get rid of Asthma.

Mix three drop of hyssop, lavender, pine or rosemary essential oil into a little carrier oil in the palm of your hand and massage into the chest. The carrier oil can be sweet almond, hazelnut, jojoba or sunflower. You may combine the last three essential oils, using one drop each.

To one teaspoonful of coltsfoot (Tussilago farfara) add a cupful of just-off-the-boil pure water. Allow to stand for 10 minutes before drinking.

Pick honeysuckle flowers in season and fill a honey jar with them. Make sure they are all covered in honey (always raw honey, preferably from your own area) to prevent any blossom decaying. When the chest feels constricted, eat a couple of teaspoons every day.

Follow this with comfrey tea. Use 1/4 cup of shredded herb, taken from a fully grown leaf. Top up with boiling water and leave to steep for at least 10 minutes. When cool, add honey to taste. Make fresh daily, avoiding leaves that are not fully grown.

The weed stinging nettle (Urtica dioica) was recently scientifically tested for its antihistamine properties, with encouraging results. Hay fever and asthma sufferers experienced dramatic improvements after drinking nettle tea.

Thyme or mullein make a good tea, sweetened with barley malt. Liquorice is also good.

In some people, external stress or an emotional problem can be the root of the problem. Asthmatics are frequently anxious or perfectionist by nature. To reduce tension, drink Cal-M. This is a mineral powder of calcium, magnesium and organic apple cider vinegar which assists the heart, muscles and nervous system.

Dip a fully grown comfrey leaf in hot water to soften, pat dry. Wrap around the chest, either next to skin or over gauze. Pacific kelp also helps with breathing.

For a homeopathic remedy, take Dr Reckewegs complex R 3.

I recently came across an excellent book called Cure You Asthma In Just One Week written by Karon Beattie, it's well worth reading. Karon claims you can be healed of asthma, asthma symptoms, and sinus and allergies symptoms to breathe easily, calmly and in a natural, relaxed way again:
